Following our main shop yesterday, we'd intended to have a full Sunday dinner with the pork roast we'd bought as a treat. Unfortunately, I chose to clean our deep fat frier using a method I'd seen on YouTube. Long story short, the washing up liquid bubbled up, overflowed and made a bit of a sticky mess. (note to self... treat YouTube tutorials with caution!)

I gave it my best effort today but, as evening approached, it was clear that it wouldn't be ready in time for roasting potatoes. Fair Damsel, ever resourceful, suggested mashed potatoes and baked beans as an accompaniment to pulled pork: I added bisto gravy to mine.😋
