It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Sarah's dear old cat, Tigrou, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We were with her daughter, Melissa, who was able to hold and comfort him as he passed. He knew he was well loved. Repose en paix, cher Tigrou. 🌈🐱

Mr. C bought me some flowers at Lidl: woolflowers (Celosia spicata). I was researching it and found out the leaves and shoots are edible and supposedly taste like spinach. They're often used in stews. In Nigeria it's "soko yokoto", meaning "make husbands fat and happy".

If you go to Lidl beware the Devil's Schnitzel! 😈🫣

While Mr. C was working outside I did some tidying inside including renovating the bathroom. I improved the view from the bath.

"Daughters of Odin"

Odin, the one-eyed feral and suspected father of Watson and her sisters and possible half-sisters, has been coming to be fed for about 2 years. Lately he's been allowing a white cat I've dubbed Freya to join him. Today these 3 younguns showed up.

I just finished this granny square coin purse. I wanted to put a little something extra inside for the finder to find so I crocheted a little heart. 💗 For luck I also added a one centime coin (French penny).

Fair Damsel was in alot of pain today but that didn't stop her from cooking one of her special Sunday dinners: chicken, Yorkshire pudding and green bean casserole to compliment my roast potatoes and gravy.

Our one-eyed feral, Odin, was waiting patiently to be fed when I went outside to look at the sunset. Moriarty kept a close eye on him. Watson joined him to watch in fascination when Odin brought his new girlfriend to dinner.

I'm making a headband using two strands (one from the inside, one from the outside) of variegated yarn. I'm absolutely thrilled by the accidental colour pooling! I just hope I can keep it up for the full length.

Murder Of Crows

Mr. C took me to Le Noz to do a bit of shopping. We passed a mass murder on the way. The farmers have been fertilizing (🐮💩) & ploughing and the crows are having a grand feast of bugs and worms.

A muggy day gave us the perfect opportunity to take a steady drive to Craon but the camper wouldn't start. Luckily it was only a minor delay and all went well from then on.

I have a new favourite #crochet bookmark pattern. This variation on the kanzashi flower is actually fun to make and turns out so pretty! Plus I found some butterflies in a jar of random beads that Sarah gave me which add that little bit of je ne sais quoi.

My Yorkshire Pudding puffed up so much that it looked like it was trying to escape its fate in the oven. Add to that Salisbury steak, green beans, and Mr. C's fluffy mashed potatoes and you get a Sunbeamadelicious meal.

I've been wanting to make a Headphone Sprout for a while. I'm not sure why. I don't have headphones. They also make great cord ties to keep your cables from getting unruly. Oh, and mine is now a bracelet. I followed an IG tutorial by heyo.crochet using Hobbii rainbow cotton color 84 and a size G/4mm hook.
