haiku

Drive to work in the

rain, I don't mind. The garden

is getting watered.

* * * * * * *

Each time this happens

I find myself lost in old

thoughts of him again.

* * * * * * *

Wet tire tracks plough through

green fields of fallen tree buds

on the rain-black road.

* * * * * * *

I composed all three of these into my tape recorder on the way to work this morning. Then I polished them on my lunch break. There's nothing like a rainy day to inspire me.
