Fair Damsel has worked so hard today to finish a New Year's gift of a pair of mittens to go with my Christmas hat. I'm tempted to go for a bike ride to test my new lights once we've welcomed in the New Year.

I made bone broth in my crock pot by boiling the carcass of our Christmas smoked chicken last night. I strained it, added basmati rice, peas, carrots, and the last of the chicken. The resultant soup is scrumptious.

Mr. C and I completed our 24 nights of 'A Christmas Carol' with the quintessential version by The Muppets.

It was worth jumping through a few hoops to cherish this scene which never should have been cut from the original release.

Christmas Eve keeps just getting better. Mr. C and I made cards for each other for tomorrow. Now we're watching 'A Muppet Family Christmas.' There's hot tomato soup and a plate of cheeses from Normandie. 😋

Day 23 - 'An American Christmas Carol' wasn't our favourite version but it did show that Henry Winkler can be more than The Fonz.

I was waiting in the car for Mr. C while he picked up something in Super U. A car pulled in beside me. I saw this and did a double take. It was a right-hand drive car, a rarity in France where we drive on the right. The driver was probably someone from England who took the ferry or tunnel across.

Day 22 - 'Rufus the Dog' is basically a Canadian Muppet but this film was fairly faithful to the book. Highlights for me were the Wilhelm Scream and Tiny Tim's Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Day 19 - Tonight's 2006 CGI animated version was odd but had some gems like an Australian kangaroo (Christmas Present) and Canadian moose (the butcher). Christmas Past, a walrus with a broken tusk, actually spoke.
