Update on us.

It's been a stormy day with episodes of torrential rain. We spent most of it tucked up in the warm watching TV and Moriarty took the opportunity to commandeer my leather jacket.
All's well in our world, Sunbeams.😊💫🌻🌞

Watson was fascinated by the yarn I have wrapped around a toilet paper tube rolling around in my basket while I crochet. She's only tried to bite it once...so far.
😹
She crawled under the blanket I'm working on and, after I lifted it, took these pictures, and put it back down, has gone to sleep.

We had a lovely repast of Heinz Tomato Soup and fresh baguette. Note to self: always allow the bread to rest longer than you think you need to before attempting to slice. Fortunately I like to break it up and float it in my soup anyway.

Some #crochet projects are a joy to make. This one, not so much. This little ring pull owl was, quite frankly, not worth the effort. Oh, it looks cute enough but it took so much fudging and fussing to get it there that it really wasn't enough bang for my proverbial buck. Good thing I had "help."

Fair Damsel joined me for a shopping trip to Intermarché and discovered the perfect scarf for Halloween. She celebrated her find by making Sunbeamadelicious sausage rolls.😋

Why do I crochet so much? Because it helps keep me sane. It's not always about what I'm making. The act of crocheting, the motion of the hook, the texture of the yarn, the challenge of following some patterns - it's a form of meditation. If I give you something I've made, I'm giving you a little piece of me. Here's the little drawstring tortoise pouch I finished last night.

She often jumps up there to beg Mr. C for pets when he's going downstairs.

Black Cat Day
In playing with pictures of Moriarty for #NationalBlackCatDay I found out this is what happens when you put his portrait through a fish eye lense filter.
