Mr. C gave me The Granny Square Card Deck for my birthday. I'll #crochet 1 square every week with Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/8 yarn, size H (5mm) hook. This will give me 50 squares with 2 weeks to join them into...something before my next birthday. Week 13 - Kisses Square

We do need to weed the gravel around our front porch, but it's hard to pull the forget-me-nots and daisies, especially when they produce wonders like this.

That explains the 🍊🍆🥔's claim of making 200 trade deals when there are only 195 countries in the world. Mattel makes it 196. Then there's The Peoples Republic of Hasbro, The Commonwealth of Fisher Price, Legoland, and The Sovereign Nation of Build a Bear.

Rincewind kept trying to bathe in their water dish, which is too small; so, we gave them a little paddling pool. Splish splash! 🌊🐦‍⬛

We had a duvet covering one of our windows to keep out the cold. I took it down today and put it on the foot of the bed until I can put it away. Miss Watson thinks we should just leave it where it is.

Update on us.

Fair Damsel made a first rate job of assembling Rincewind's new home. They're still trying to figure it out and trying to escape through the water dish.

All's well in our world, Sunbeams.

Because Thursday is VE Day, I'm making some poppy inspired bookmarks. I hope I can get out and about to distribute them.

Update on us

Took a couple of brief strolls in the sunshine. Fair Damsel has been crocheting as she slowly recovers from all the stress of the past couple of weeks.

We had pork chops, boiled potatoes, and baked beans for dinner.

Absolutely Sunbeamadelicious😋

Well, I managed to NOT completely ruin my peanut butter cookies, but it wasn't for lack of trying. When the timer went off I saw that the temp was set to 125° C, not 175° C. There was nothing for it but to turn the oven up and put them back in. They turned out okay, thank goodness.

Update on us

Last night, Rincewind proved to be a cunning escape artist. I was feeding them when they backed away, forcing me to lift the lid of the cage. It was only a fraction, but in a flash, they were out and flapping around the room.

Safe inside now.🙄

🙂☄️🌻🌞

Thank you to my sweet friend, Lynne O'Rourke, for guiding me to this flower garland pattern which I was able to modify slightly to make pretty bookmarks.

Despite being totally exhausted from coping with the stress of my recent illnesses and operation, Fair Damsel worked hard to prepare an omelette for dinner. It was absolutely Sunbeamadelicious.😋

All's well in our world, Sunbeams.

Learning to read #crochet charts, I did 7 over the past 2 days. One skein of variegated yarn yielded 15 items for #RandomActsOfCrochetKindness. They're Rainbow hued; so, I think I'll save them to scatter in June for #PrideMonth.

By stitching together two African Flower hexagons, I was able to make a little pouch and put some sweeties inside. I hope finding this little bonbonnière will lift someone's spirits.
