It's a wee blue whale! 🐋

A mild warm day so we popped into town for a few supplies. The fields were showing signs of growth and there were dandelions and daisies... In winter!

Later, Fair Damsel made Cornish pasties for dinner.

Absolutely Sunbeamadelicious.😋

😊💫🌻🌞

I made lovely bone broth from the carcass of our Christmas chicken. I see soup in our future. 😋

A restful day rounded off with a second Christmas Dinner and Muppet Christmas Carol.

A message of hope for a better world.

Let's strive to build one, Sunbeams.

My kind of after Christmas sale shopping: cheese, salami, brownies, dark chocolate and hummus with truffles! 😋 You read that right HUMMUS WITH TRUFFLES! 🤯

I haven't been playing possum, just busy with Christmas. Today I had enough time for this little opossum.

Update on us

18:09 hrs

Christmas dinner is cooking nicely and we're eating alone this year as Michel has the flu. We exchanged presents this morning although he kept his distance and it was obvious he wasn't up to a long day.

So a traditional English/American meal for us.😋🌞

Good morning, Sunbeams!

Bonjour, Rayons de Soleil!

Christmas roses!

Fair Damsel used one of her Christmas presents to make a Sunbeamadelicious mushroom & lardon omelette for me with a little added brie on hers as I don't eat cheese.

That's what you call thoughtfulness, Sunbeams.

All's well in our world.😋😊💫🌻🌞

20:30 hrs

A productive day.

Fed the animals, filled mini with petrol and bought groceries.

Dandelions and long grass (in December?) meant a treat of two wheelbarrow fulls for Limonaid and Little Goat.

Finally got the washing done.

Fair Damsel cooked.😋😊💫🌻🌞

I've made 3 different kinds of Heffalumps in my crochet career. Maybe I should try making some Woozles. 🐘🐘🐘🤔

The pattern didn't call for it but I couldn't resist putting a smile on my little star's face. They certainly put one on mine. ⭐🙂

The nearby town of La Guerche now has its own McDonald's. McDonald's in France has a few different items that are not available in the US including macarons (or, as my friend Heather quipped, McArons) and cheesecake! 🤯

This little ducky had a few fiddly bits but I think she turned out really cute! I named her Prudence after my favourite Beatles song.

I couldn't resist using one of the new colours right away to make a flower. Mr. C thinks these would make nice ornaments.

Such a lovely gift from a gifted friend! Look at this beautiful portrait sent to us by our dear friend Momma Wolf Shelly! "True Love's Kiss" indeed! Thank you so much, Sweetie! 🌞💞🌻

#art

I laid out all the lovely skeins of yarn sent to me by Momma Wolf Shelly so I could bask in the beautiful colours and decide what to make first. The hard part was explaining to Watson that I needed the box back.

#crochet #Watson #cats

Oh my goodness! We got an amazing package from our friend Momma Wolf Shelly! I've been singing "Brown paper packages tied up with strings!" since La Poste knocked at our door. What a box of delight for all of us! I will post a pic of the beautiful drawing she made for us as soon as I get it framed. 🌞🌻😻😻

Freezing cold with fog until mid afternoon when I took a stroll to the lake after feeding Limonaid and Little Goat.

This evening Fair Damsel cooked her best Yorkshire pudding yet: it was just like my dad's.
