People say I should sell my #crochet. I have but here's why I won't ever earn a living at it. People don't know what it takes and won't pay what it's worth. 2 basic pricing ideas are 1¢ per stitch or a price per hour's work. Here's the breakdown for a simple looking scarf: 8,100 stitches = $81.00 or 13.5 hours work at minimum wage = $97.88.
Who's going to pay that when they can get a machine knitted scarf or one crocheted by slave labor at a big discount store for a fraction of the price?
