Well, I found 2 surprises when I was pruning the dead bits off my mini-rosebush in the Skylight Garden. One will be encouraged. The other will be banished (safely among the leaf litter) to the outside.

In the garden with Mr. 'n' Mrs. C 🌞❤️🌻...

Mr. C told me "something purple" was coming up in my planter. Clearing the weeds, I found a healthy pansey plant next to my top-heavy hyacinths. I added 2 small mum plants that wintered over in the Skylight Garden.

And just when I thought my pet pink primroses wouldn't bloom this year, voila!

Gardening surprise no. 5 for today: it wasn't until I was looking again at the photo of my primroses that I noticed the micro-daffodil blooming near it. Mr. C kindly came out and pulled a thistle that was coming up beside it. It's missing a petal but there's another bud.
