I watched, delighted, as Mom nibbled the first radish of the season. It was a little undersized, though it was the biggest one yet in the garden, but Mom had said that according to the seed packet when she planted them they would be ready for her birthday. So, Dad searched the radish bed for a worthy Birthday Radish for her.
