As we struggled to restrain the long branches of wild rose it became increasingly clear that the were intent on sedition. Still with a combination of rope, pruning shears, ingenuity, brute strength and determination, in other words "a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence," we were finally able to whip them into shape.
