It didn't really matter what we did with the byproducts of the experiment. As they'd already chosen the winning design, what became of the remaining guinea pigs was purely academic. I wasn't so worried about the long eared and long tailed varieties. They were cute enough that we could get lab assistants to adopt them. What we were going to do with Igor ("It's pronounced eye-gore."), the 350 pound giant guinea, I couldn't think.
