This is Martin the gnome...

He was so named because the night I brought him home, I dreamed about buying herbs from Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook! fame. I think I need to get Martin some help. It's an awfully big garden for one gnome to tend.

I haven't been the same since someone dropped a house on my sister.

That is why I am always polite to gnomes! LOL At least Martin is better than the gnomes in Harry Potter!

Sorry if I scared you. Did you see the movie leprechaun too many times? ;-)

I want to have four or five gnomes in my garden.

But then again, I want a mini scale replica of Stone Hendge too. Or a mini scale replica of the Easter Island Heads...

Oh! I'd love to have a replica of Stonehenge. I remember I built "Cheesehenge" once. It was delicious! lol

Osquer-Love the Garden Gnome! I do have a plant question though-my Jade plant has large black spots all over the leaves...how can this be healed? Any ideas?

Oooh, sorry Bea! I have very little experience with Jade plants. Sounds like some sort of blight or fungus. Try searching online. There will probably be pictures posted by someone with the same problem somewhere. Try taking it to a local greenhouse. Has it been getting too much water or too much sun? Too much sun could be burning the leaves. Too much water could rot the roots and cause a fungus. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks Osquer, I don't think it can be saved, sad because Mom gave it to me.

That's funny! Cheesehendge!

Bea, you might try to propigate some of the leaves into new plants. Just break them off and stick them in some dirt. If you're lucky tiny (healthy) plants will come up from the base of the leaves.

That might work Osquer-thanks so much for the help!!

That's how I got my 1 inch jade plant. They will be quite delicate at first. DO NOT overwater them after they come up. The babies are very prone to root-rot.
