Friday's Feast

Feast Ninety-Nine

Appetizer

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you like your job?

Out of all of my past jobs, it’s a 10. Out of potential jobs I’d say about a 7.

Soup

When was the last time you think you were lied to?

What time is it now?

Salad

Share some lyrics from one of your favorite songs.

The Poet and the painter casting shadows on the water --
as the sun plays on the infantry returning from the sea.
The do-er and the thinker: no allowance for the other --
as the failing light illuminates the mercenary's creed.
The home fire burning: the kettle almost boiling --
but the master of the house is far away.
The horses stamping -- their warm breath clouding
in the sharp and frosty morning of the day.
And the poet lifts his pen while the soldier sheaths his sword.

--Jethro Tull, “Thick As A Brick”

Main Course

What do you do/take when you are in pain?

Ibuprophen, tea, sleep, poetry but not necessarily in that order

Dessert

Fill in the blanks: My __garden__ is very __joyful__.

Sam, are you kidding? Ian Anderson wrote some of the best poetry ever. To say nothing of that flute!

Ribbiticus, You have such a delicious pad. Love the flies!
