A restful day to make up for a busy day yesterday. I fell asleep whilst listening to a story and awoke to find Fair Damsel was about to make KFC style fried chicken so I contributed the chips.

Sometimes I have a vision of a #crochet project in my head and it doesn't come out like I pictured it...and sometimes it comes out even better! I am thrilled with my new skull bag. The strap can be used one stranded for crossbody or doubled to be shorter.

I've finished my latest granny square sampler tote bag. Sometimes after completing a project I experience a strange combination of glee and melancholy. I'm delighted with the result but now at a loss as to which WIP to tackle next.

We took a drive through rain and sun and rain to Intermarche for a few essentials. On the way back we caught a brief glimpse of a rainbow. We took it as a message from Fifi that all is well. 🌈🐶

I'm sad to report that Sarah and Michel's sweet Fifi has crossed the rainbow bridge. I know she had a good life here in the French countryside and is now off on new adventures.

I now have all 8 of the squares I need for my tote bag. Today I'm going to start making the gusset and handles in red because I have lots of red recycled cotton yarn. I'm going to do the trim in red also to tie it all together.

Mr. C got us a package of 8 delicious pork chops for only 4,37€ ($4.88 USD). So, we teamed up and made a scrumptious dinner of 2 of them with sauteed courgette and steamed potatoes. 😋 And we still have 6 chops left. 😁

Because a wager which Mr. C and I made was a draw, the stakes being a flower, I crocheted my first ever daffodil for him and he picked me a spray of roses.

Fair Damsel and I had a bet as to whether I would fall asleep while we were listening to a story. The loser had to give the winner a flower. I dozed off but woke before the end so we called it a draw. A couple of Werther's Originals in the centre added to the treat. 😋😊💫🌻🌞

Some #crochet patterns look really complex until you start trying to follow the pattern or tutorial. Then it turns out that they're even more complicated than you expected. Just kidding. YouTube videos from Hooked by Robin are easy to follow.
