He kissed me. I couldn't believe it.

He actually kissed me!

And then I woke up.

Damn.

'The Royal Box'

“My Lady, he turned. “Will you see if I’ve left my program?” He recalled placing it on the rail.

She picked it up in her gloved hand, “Here it is, Your Majesty.”

He took her in his arms, “Won’t you call me Peter?” He pressed his lips to hers.

“Peter,” she murmured, closing her eyes.

I dropped to the floor

in front of him,

moving closer

so that we were

knee to knee,

thigh to thigh,

hip to hip,

belly to belly,

heart to heart,

and, finally yes!

Lip to lip.

Beaux RΓͺves

 Beaux RΓͺves

(for Paul Bettany

as Dustfinger in 'Inkheart')

The room was familiar

I had been there before

In a previous dream

Now I'd come back for more

I remembered your face

Though I had lost your name

I'd forgotten the rules

And the point of your game

The steps of the dance now

A mystery to me

Though I'd once known them all

Someone's stolen the key

Every egress is barred

The door shut, windows closed

There can be no escape

From the questions now posed

Worry Beads

WORRY BEADS

I made these from the remains of me.

I formed them out of ashes and bone.

Everyone wants to collect a fee

Though I forged them all quite on my own.

Some are blue for my poor broken heart.

Some stained grey for the shadow of debt.

Others green for the sake of my art.

Some dyed colours I haven't named yet.

Clicking of beads and ticking of time,

Pray, what will this revolution bring?

Will there be rhythm? Will there be rhyme?

Will I finally feel free to sing?

Who's Been Touching My Stuff?

 WHO'S BEEN TOUCHING MY STUFF?

I can feel spilled ink

sloshing around

in my head,

staining my brain,

my hippocampus

smudged

with fingerprints

I don't recognize.

Where did these

marks on my memory

come from?

Who's been

rearranging my ideas?

Someone has gotten

too comfortable

in my own thoughts.

CRUSHING QUESTIONS

CRUSHING QUESTIONS

I will never look into your eyes

or rather, you won't return my gaze.

I can't become the cause of your sighs

though dreams of you drift throughout my days.

Would you believe that I fancied you

if you and I were ever to meet?

Would you bother to think of me too?

Would you find fantasies of me sweet?

 Magical things do happen.

SGT Dominick Cutalo, Vietnam Veteran, on meeting Kathleen Ryan who was a young girl when she wrote a letter to servicemen in Vietnam in 1971.

He replied and she traced him 51 years later.

"With all what's going on in the world today this is a little bit of happiness. I can't find anything wrong at all with a little bit of happiness."

Heaven, Nirvana, The Afterlife...

 Heaven, Nirvana, The Afterlife...

Now we see through a glass darkly...

I think when we die, we no longer experience what things look like or sound like or even feel like. I believe that we will know what they really are. We will be able to know the individual atoms of a leaf and the entirety of the tree, of the Earth, of The Universe at the same time.

Top o' the World Ma!

I was looking out the skylight at something Mr. C was showing me when I noticed something odd: blossoms in a tree where I'd never seen any before. Then I realized that it was the clematis which had grown up through the branches and was blooming near the top. 🌸🀯

To The Entwives

TO THE ENTWIVES

I have known you when

your leaves were green and supple

as the Western wind.

I have known you when

your leaves were brown and brittle

as any promise.

And I have known you

bare as the barren Winter

in your slumbers deep.

But dearest I have

known are the new buds that formed

on your fingertips.

For in each season

I've loved you but most as you

woke and stretched in Spring.
