haiku: Art All Night

Magnetic Poetry

I will explore this universe
drink every lucious drop
of berry sweet magic
fresh sacred beauty sprouting
in my secret garden heart

55 Fiction Friday

"More brandy, Randy!" she roared in a most unprincess-like manner.

"Randal," muttered the wizard under his breath, but he said nothing more as, with a complicated twiddle of his wand, he produced a bottle of Napoleon brandy from thin air.  This was quite a trick considering Napoleon Bonaparte wouldn't be born for another seven centuries.

55 Fiction Friday

Employing Jonathan Livingston Seagull thinking, I strained to believe I could fit inside the keyhole, that I was standing in the keyhole.  Suddenly I was.

I couldn't believe it.

I was dreaming which meant I could control things, could even fly!

That's how I fell thirty-three inches to my death. It was no dream.

www.oneword.com - one word, so little time [smudge]

I tried as hard as i could not to smudge the ink as i carried the manuscript across the room to the drying shelves. I’d been a novice for only nine days and i’d screwed up something on all of them. Thank goodness God forgives.

55 Fiction Friday

"No! Stop!" she cried.

He couldn't understand her words, but he could tell he shouldn't pull her any further.  He dug deeper into the snow and found she had been tied by the wrists behind a horse.  He'd just found the only survivor of an avalanche, the prettiest piece of Viking plunder he'd ever seen.

55 Fiction Friday

"I can't breathe underwater, idiot!" she spat at me after she'd struggled to the surface.  "I'm a mammal!"

And with a contemptuous slap of her flukes, the mermaid twisted out of the net from which I'd been trying to free her. She disappeared beneath the waves leaving me both drenched and disappointed on the shore.

55 Fiction Friday

He placed his hand on the black book I had pulled from my inside jacket pocket.

"Do you swear the information you have given is true and accurate, so help you God?"

"I do," he averred.

As he walked away, my partner whispered, "You carry a bible with you?"

"Actually, it's an Alcoholics Anonymous handbook."

www.oneword.com - one word, so little time [stalled]

I stood there, my mind completely stalled, my jaw hanging loose. I managed to close it before I started to drool. I’d never seen such a beautiful sushi bar in my entire life and since I hadn’t eaten in 72 hours or more, I nearly wept with joy.
