I love making these wee mice. Usually I use a bulky (5) yarn and they come out about the size of a golf ball, but I had a bit of super-chunky yarn and decided to pull out my 9mm hook and see what I could do with it. Look how cute he turned out! I'm gonna make some more. 🐁😍

Out and about with Mr. 'n' Mrs. C 🌞❤️🌻...

After visiting the pharmacy in La Guerche, I waited in the camper while Mr. C cycled to the bank. I had just enough time to snap a picture of this group, apparently some kind of tour, as they rode past in a carriage, drawn by a beautiful horse, before they turned the corner.

Snacking French style: chicken, cheese, lettuce, and tomato on baguette. 😋 🐔🧀🥬🍅🥖

I'm taking a bath and this is my current view.

You can call me crazy for crocheting cold weather gear in the heat of July. It took me some thinking to realize why I want to. It's because I need to remind myself that there is a future and to hope that it will be better than the present. I've already made 1 beanie and 1 pair of fingerless gloves for people in need this coming winter. I'm not giving up on kindness.

A cooler start with a thunderstorm saw us heading to Intermarche for supplies. It soon warmed up but is still comfortable.

Fair Damsel finally identified Rincewind with this photograph taken after a rather enthusiastic bath splashed her. He/she/they is/are a European starling.

Another scorcher with a high of 98°F.

I had intended to set out early to cycle into town but it was already too hot at 08:15 hrs, so I gave it up as a bad job. I took a stroll into the village just after 10 but everything was closed for some reason.

It's been too hot to rest upstairs, so we've spent the day downstairs with the shutter down and an oscillating fan whirling happily away.

As a special treat, Fair Damsel prepared an omelette for our evening meal.

Absolutely Sunbeamadelicious.😋

It's cooled down to 97°F now.

A beautiful day made even better by feeling energetic after weeks of poor health exacerbated by my recent deterioration due to a virus.

Fair Damsel felt better too, so we drove into town where I walked to the bank and to a shop some distance away. I walked briskly, with a spring in my step, and anyone who has known debilitating weakness and recovered will understand how good that feels.

Then, we went to Intermarche where I was able to fill two bags of shopping from various aisles before carrying them to Fair Damsel's shopping cart.

In celebration of a good outing we've been watching Red Dwarf with a short break so Fair Damsel could prepare a Sunbeamadelicious omelette.😋
