Rincewind has become very vocal about when they want feeding. They've been fed 9 times today.

I've had a busy morning getting the family fed: first Rincewind, who was squawking for his breakfast, then Moriarty and Watson, then Rincewind again, and finally Mr. C and myself.

Might take a nap.

I managed to construct new temporary quarters for Rincewind. He still can't quite fly but he was able to get out of the bathtub. This will be safe in the bedroom where he can see us and hear the birds in the eaves. The cats can't get to him. He is still eating well.

Mr. C gave me The Granny Square Card Deck for my birthday. I'll #crochet 1 square every week with Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/8 yarn, size H (5mm) hook. This will give me 50 squares with 2 weeks to join them into...something before my next birthday. Week 11 - Rainbow Blossom Square

Update on us:

One of our little charges, alas, crossed The Rainbow Bridge about 10PM last night never having rallied from trauma of fall and cold. The other two are stronger and both taking food, one more greedily than the other. We are doing our best for Rincewind & Twoflower.

Ummm...so, there's been a further development.

You never know what the day will bring. Meet our new charge, Rincewind. They appear to have fallen out of one of the starling nests under our roof. There's no possible way for us to get them back up there. So, Mr. C and I are researching how to best care for them.

Mr. C was in hospital for Easter. So, today he bought me a belated Easter gift. For those who are wondering if the infamous Dubai Chocolate is worth it - yes. Yes, it is. Definitely among the top 5 of all the chocolates I've ever tasted.

Been a heck of a week. So, as usual, I self soothed with crochet. Inspired by some pics and previous patterns, I created a new Emotional Support Chicken. I took notes & will make more.

Michel took me to visit Mr. C this afternoon. He's feeling so much better. He ate carrots, soup, & bread for dinner. I ate his crepes because they had cheese in them. The nurses now know that he can't have cheese. He couldn't have eaten anymore anyway because he had a big lunch.

Update on us:

After being under the weather for several days, Mr. C went to the doctor who sent him to the hospital for tests and a scan. Last night they took his appendix out. He is doing well and expects to come home tomorrow.

I don't know the fiber content of this yarn as it was given to me without a label, but the static charge has made me fairly positive that it's nylon. 🧶
