We had a quiet day today as neither of us was feeling brilliant. We managed a trip to Intermarche for supplies. We napped. Then I heated up leftover meat patties & gravy and store bought pommes dauphine for dinner. Watson liked the gravy.

I learned the Bead Head Happy Flower crochet pattern today. My wooden beads didn't have faces; so, I drew on my own. I left a couple at the park after our picnic today.

Out and about with Mr. 'n' Mrs. C 🌞❤️🌻...

While we were having tea in the camper at the park, I noticed a really trippy effect. A window on the right of the camper was reflected in the window on the left. It looked like a mirror had been hung on one of the trees. When we opened top of the side door for some fresh air there was another phantom image: a portal perhaps? 🤔

After a bit of jiggery-pokery and a few bad words, I was able to bring forth my vision of a monochrome version of the Mandala Heart wrist bag. In fact, I made two. The photo doesn't do justice to the sparkle of the dark grey yarn.

Mr. C was weeding behind the apartment and called me out to see what he found. This goat moth caterpillar (Cossus cossus) is about the size of my middle finger (9 cm/3.5 in.)! It's been safely relocated to the undergrowth.

Fair Damsel completed our tax return online today and it was no easy task. Yet she still found the energy to cook Sunday dinner and it was absolutely Sunbeamadelicious.😋

This 18 cm Mandala Heart is as complicated as it looks. Add to that the fact that the tutorial was in Italian and 😵‍💫! Thanks to subtitles and auto-translate I was able to work through it. I didn't need a tiny cushion, so I improvised a wrist bag. Thank the gods I decided to weave in most of my ends as I went along or I'd be gibbering in a corner right now!

A lovely day for a ride in the camper and it was great to be able to see across the fields again. We only drove into town for supplies but it was well worth the trip.

Afterwards, we treated ourselves to chicken nuggets & chips with beans for me.😋😊💫🌻🌞

I didn't know that tomorrow is Mother's Day in France until the cashier at Intermarche handed me a lovely, white rosebud. Apparently they're giving them to all the ladies this weekend. How nice. I picked some Michaelmas Daisies to keep her company.

I lost 2 rounds of Yarn Chicken on this star pouch. Originally it was supposed to be solid blue. Didn't have enough blue. Then I tried one side solid yellow. Didn't have enough yellow. So, I improvised and I really like the result.

I did not want to go grocery shopping today. I did not want to deal with making my body work enough to walk. Tuesday was spent indoors due to heavy rain so I didn't get my planned bike ride. Instead, we settled down to watch Dame Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple and thoroughly enjoyed two films.

I finished the crossbody zipper bag that I started yesterday with my birthday yarn. I lost a game of Yarn Chicken on the strap and had to frog and redo it a tiny bit shorter. I'm glad I was stubborn about it because I really like how it turned out.
