Beautiful blue sky but bitterly cold so we remained snuggled up watching Doctor Who until evening when we enjoyed our Anniversary Dinner: pork steaks with onions, mushrooms, courgettes, steamed potatoes, and Yorkshire Pudding.

Mr. C and I are having a nice, quiet 3rd wedding anniversary. Mr. C offered to take me shopping but the cold weather made me prefer to stay cozily at home enjoying the comforts of tea, chocolates, cats and Doctor Who.

We made anniversary cards for each other.

When I only have a small amount of a gorgeous yarn I hoard it until just the right pattern comes along. Then I have my hopes dashed by losing at yarn chicken, accept the challenge, fudge the results so that only I can see the deviation and am thrilled with the results. #crochet

I was feeling froggy in the wee hours so, instead of sleeping, I made this guy. I wasn't satisfied with the YouTube tutorial I was following so, I Frankensteined him together from a couple of patterns and added my own twist. It's a pouch and the tongue pulls through a loop in the flap to close.

If you're wondering just how much of a yarn eater Waffle Stitch is, look at the tea towel on the left compared to the one on the right that I frogged and remade with Moss Stitch. The new one is much more supple and usable as well as bigger. Now to frog the other one.

I got a sparkly! I was always fascinated by my mom's Lindy Star ring as a child. For my birthday Mr. C got me a claddagh with one in it. I love to watch the star dance in the sapphire. It's like having a tiny, solid piece of magic on my finger. 🌞💙🌻
 

Pro tip: ditch those overpriced, inbred red rosebuds that will only wither in a few days. For the same amount of money or less you can get your sweetie a whole garden's worth of vibrant blossoms that they can watch grow and thrive and come back year after year. #ValentinesDay

We braved the wet to go to the pharmacy, bakery, and grocery store. We were rewarded with 2 of my favourite signs of Spring: daffodils and primroses.
