This afternoon I dreamt...

This afternoon I dreamt...

We were living or staying in a house that was not our current real life home. There was something in the cupboard under the sink. I heard its voice when it whispered "Ch ch ch ah ah ah." I can't remember what horror movie that is from. We looked but didn't find anything untoward. There may have been a passage to the basement under there.

I half-woke several times and the dream kept shifting. I only remember the end clearly. 

We'd been out somewhere and when I came back I found the door partway open and several of my plants and a glass jar of flowers outside. The flowers had been knocked over. I thought Mr. C had been cleaning and accidentally left the door open. Worried, I went in looking for the cats. I saw Watson right away on the sofa with a rottweiler that was apparently staying with us. I asked her where her brother was and Moriarty came into the room AND SPOKE TO ME! 

He said, "You were right. There was something there. It's alright now. It went out through the front door. That's why it was open."

Needless to say when I woke up I gave Moriarty lots of lovins, said thank you for protecting me, and told him what a good kitty he is.

Cat Sith indeed!

Another scorcher with no plans to go outside. The microwave decided to stop working so I popped into town to buy a new one.

Have you ever been working on a project and had it decide that it wanted to be something else? I was making a cylindrical bolster cover but it really wanted to be a hat. So, now I have a new hat.

I upcycled another old pillow into a cushion for our settee. If I had paid retail for just the yarn it would have cost me $59.90. I got it on clearance so I spent a cool $5 for it. Add to that what a big new feather pillow would cost and my time and this cushion is worth a small fortune.

There were several things today designed by The Universe to delight me. Among them were the sunflowers starting to come up in the nearby fields and a perfectly timed rainstorm that entertained us while we ate lunch in the camper.

We drove to Craon via a well signed forest route due to road closures. I thoroughly enjoyed the outing and saw lots of interesting things including this poor fellow.

The route home was a case of point the camper and hope for the best. 🌞❤️🌻

We went to Craon for a new vacuum cleaner. Our route was diverted which happily took us through the forest where I saw two small deer, not pictured. We passed a lovely tree absolutely covered in mistletoe & a number or chestnut trees.

I've finished the two halves of my shoulder bag. I'm going to seam them together today and sew in the zipper. I found some fabric in my stash for a liner and I've planned the strap. Watson, as usual, is my #crochet buddy.

I made dinner: baked chicken, diced tomato, and diced courgette (zucchini) pasties with potato puffs. 🌞❤️🌻

 

3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup sugar

1 cup peanut butter (not the natural peanut butter)

1 egg.

Mix well.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Flatten with a fork.

Bake at 350°F/175°C for 8 min. until bottoms just start to brown. Cool slightly on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
