Mr. C took me for a Womble to the lake so I could gather some sweet broom (gorse) blossoms for May Day tomorrow. I found a walnut shell that I may turn into a tortoise for The Octopus's Fairy Garden. Mr. C found and gave me a cool rock (quartz?).

Today I've been working on a commission. One of the first gifts I gave to our friend Jack's son, Charlie (now 4 years old) was a little owl. He loved it. Unfortunately the dog ate it. So, I've spent the day, while Jack and my husband were continuing with the remodeling of our kitchen and bath, making another as close to the original as possible.

I've been on an organizing kick. Today Watson decided to "help" me sort some bits and bobs. At least I knew the lid to my storage bin wasn't going to escape.

I cleaned up and planted some aging celery in one of my planters in hopes of new growth. I've had some success doing this before. I also took the herbs (🎶 Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme 🎵) from The Skylight Garden outside for the growing season.

I got a late birthday present from Mr. C. He had wanted to get me a sewing box but was afraid to pick the wrong one. I saw this one in the window of a little shop in La Guerche and knew it was waiting for me. It's really well made and we got to support a local business. Sarah returned from her trip to visit family in Algeria. She brought us a lovely plate of goodies including cookies, toffees, and dates. Yum! 😋

We had some leftover baked chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, and gravy. I diced the chicken and mixed it with the potatoes and gravy. Using a puff pastry sheet, I made it into pasties. Mr. C said they're Sunbeamadelicious! I agree. 😋 I really enjoyed dancing around the kitchen to @hicorook on IG while I was cooking.

Mr. C and Sarah took Limonaid out of the paddock. They wanted to take her to the former chicken compound, now kids' play area for guests. At first she wouldn't go because there was so much lovely grass right by the gate. After they got her over there she was nervous for a while because Little Goat was crying for her. Little goat couldn't go along because she could escape through the hedge. After a while Little Goat settled down and Limonaid grazed quite happily.
