He saw her watching the dancers and moved to her side, gently taking her hand. She turned her head and smiled up at him before removing her hand from his, disappointing him, but only for a moment; for she slid her arm around his waist. She placed her other hand against his belly and he was sure she could feel him trembling. He felt her breathing become quick and shallow in the circle of his embrace as he slowly bent his head, relieved to find her stretching up to meet his kiss.
