Update on us

19:50 hrs

Another scorcher with a high of 98°F.

I had intended to set out early to cycle into town but it was already too hot at 08:15 hrs, so I gave it up as a bad job. I took a stroll into the village just after 10 but everything was closed for some reason.

It's been too hot to rest upstairs, so we've spent the day downstairs with the shutter down and an oscillating fan whirling happily away.

As a special treat, Fair Damsel prepared an omelette for our evening meal.

It's cooled down to 97°F now.
